JR Cleator Cup match cancelled

Tomorrow’s JR Cleator Cup game between Marske United and Dunston UTS has been cancelled.

Marske have not been able to register sufficient players with the Evo Stik Northern Premier League in time for the game.

A spokesman for the Ebac Northern League said:

“We are obviously very disappointed and apologise for the lateness of this news, but we were left with no alternative but to cancel the game.”

Update 28/7:  “As the Cleator Cup is a formal, competitive fixture, FA rules require all players to be registrered, regardless of any deadlines for the registration of players for league fixtures.”
