PLAY-OFF PICTURE

The promotion play-off picture is a little clearer after last night’s results.

Division One:

The four teams that will take part in the play-offs are Shildon, West Auckland, Heaton Stannington and Birtley Town.  As the second-placed team, Shildon will host the team that finishes fifth, while the third-placed team will play at home to the team that finishes fourth.

Division Two:

Newcastle Blue Star, Easington Colliery and Bedlington Terriers are guaranteed a play-off spot, while the fourth and final place is between Horden CW and Yarm & Eaglescliffe who will need to win their remaining two games to overtake the Marras.  As in Division One, the team that finishes second hosts the fifth-placed team and the third team are at home to the team that finishes fourth.
